Weekend gifts :)
Topic: Spinning Retreats

We had a great time...a GREAT time! Lots of folks who did not know each other on Friday were chums by Sunday, and that is a big plus for these weekend shindigs.

Now there is bunny work waiting on the horizon this week, and I'll post about that later this week, but just a note to anyone who is listening about the next 2 spinning retreats:
Fleece To Hat in April 2006; and
Angora Spinning in September 2006: I am hearing they will fill up pretty quick, so don't delay too long if you are interested in coming.

So...the gifts. The kid mohair pictured above is from Andrea who has a herd of angora goats and produces the most LUSCIOUS fiber. It is just enough to be the strengthening fiber for a pair of handspun ANDREA SOCKS, which will have their own unique pattern, so stay tuned over the next few months about this if you might be interested.

And, last, but not least, meet Harmony:

My best buddy Kirk made her for me from his handspun, and I adore every inch of her at this point. However, this was not always true. Some background: two weeks ago I went to feed the rabbits and a RAT was in its final throes (I keep a box or two of De-Con out). This was the first time I had ever seen one in my barns and I was not happy at all. So distressed was I, that my knitting and spinning "friend" decided to create this creature to help me explore my horror. I whined that friends are supposed to bring harmony into your life, and he said, "Well, there you go...her name is Harmony".
